Sharon K. Kimble, 82 of Fostoria, died Sunday, April 21, 2019 at St. Catherine’s Manor in Fostoria, where she was loved by caregivers and residents for over 10 years.
She was born October 19, 1936 in Fostoria, Ohio, to the late Sylvester and Vera (Detillion) Lanning. She married Clyde Kimble March 26, 1954 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He died May 19, 2006.
Surviving are children, Beatrice Milum, Cindy (Scott) Senn and Kristine (Carl) Porter, all of Fostoria, Carole (Rick) Garcia of Phoenix, AZ, and John (Melanee) Kimble of Fostoria; sister, Carole Rinehart of Fostoria; 18 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; and 35 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Clyde Kimble Jr.; sister, Elsie Gillispie; and great grandchild, Roselynn Haire.
Sharon was a wonderful domestic engineer raising six children. She was a member of Trinity United Brethren, a 1954 graduate of Fostoria High School and received a Business Degree in 1981 from Tiffin University. She also volunteered for the Bureau of Concern and pregnancy center for many years and worked in telemarketing and tax returns.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria, Ohio, with Pastor Mark Self officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Friday (10-11 a.m.), both at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Knollcrest Cemetery in Arcadia, Ohio.
