Roy E. Baker, 66 of Fostoria, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at his home.
He was born July 31, 1952 in Bellevue, Ohio, to the late Walter and Elsie (Hubbard) Baker. He first married Debra Walters and they divorced. He then married Leona Zunk on April 3, 1981 in Fostoria and she died August 23, 2016.
Roy is survived by daughters, Kelly (David) Stephens and Mary Baker, both of Fostoria; step-sons, Keith (Shirley) Brown of Bucyrus, and Michael (Rita), Glen, James (Erica) and Mark Brown, all of Fostoria; step-daughter, Rose Brown of Houghton Lake, MI; brothers, Carl (Connie) Baker of Fostoria and Dale Baker of KY; sisters, Nancy Baker of CA and Ruby Baker of Toledo; 30 grandchildren; and 45 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leona; sons, Anthony and Delbert Brown; step-daughter, Linda Brown; and brothers, James, William and Jack Baker.
Roy was a 1971 graduate of Lakota High School. He retired in 2000 as a machinist at Atlas Crankshaft after 30 years of service. He was a member of New Life Family Worship in Fostoria as well as the Fostoria United Sportsmen Club and the Fostoria Eagles.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria, Ohio, with Pastor Wyatt Foster officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
