Marilyn A. Conine, 84, of Fostoria, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital.
She was born Dec. 13, 1934, in Tiffin, to Gordon and Alma "Tootie" (Sauber) O'Connor. Marilyn married James C. Conine April 24, 1954, at St Joseph Church in Tiffin. Jim passed away March 1, 2004.
Surviving are daughters, Deborah (Larry) Rinehart and Sandra (Steve) Coleman both of Fostoria; brother-in-law, Bernard Conine of Fostoria; grandchildren, Daniel A. "Tony" (Rhonda) Kracher Jr., Christopher Kracher, Joseph Kracher, Courtney (Greg) Rinehart-Fleming, James T. (Dorothy) Conine, Amanda (Ryan) Conine Allshouse, Cody Conine, Stephen Coleman Jr., Samantha (Eric) Coleman Hugg, Suzannah (Jonathon) Coleman Reinhart and S. Zachary Coleman; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James C. Conine; son, Timothy Conine; daughter, Peggy Ann Conine; and brothers, Robert and Richard O'Connor.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and a 1952 graduate of Calvert High School.
Marilyn worked at Production Credit Association until 1971, then she and Jim operated Mr. C's dog grooming until 1988, she then joined Fostoria City Schools Food Service group. Marilyn was the "lunch lady" at Longfellow Elementary until she retired in 2006.
Her focus was her family. Throughout her life she took care of everyone around her. She was our mom, Grandma C, and Grandma Great. She was our cheerleader, music patron and cooking instructor. The memories we have of her will last for generations.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.
Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, with Father Todd Dominique officiating. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to F.A.C.T., Bridge Hospice or charity of the donorás choice.
