Norma Jean Bronson, 85, of Fostoria, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at her home.
She was born February 23, 1932 in Bradner, Ohio to Robinson and Helen (Immel) Bowerman. She married Earl A. “Jake” Bronson on Oct. 2, 1953, and he died on May 11, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Jeffery (Tara) Bronson of Lake Odessa, MI; a daughter, Jill (Mark) Brose of Fostoria; brothers, Rev. John Rainey of Sandusky, Carl Rainey of Tiffin, and Robert Rainey of Fostoria; grandchildren, Melissa Bronson, Ashley Charek, Dereck Smith, Andrew Brose, and Bradin and Breanna Linscott; and great-grandchildren, Grace, Naudia, Ariana, Derek, Aubrey, Christian and Natalie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; step-father, Howard Rainey; brothers, Warren Rainey and Don Bowerman; and a sister, Norma Rainey.
She retired in 1985 from General Electric in Tiffin, Ohio with over 35 years of service. She was a 1950 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School, and a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Fostoria. She was a Sunday school teacher for over 25 years, and a member of the Fidelia Class.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Grace United Church of Christ in Fostoria, with Rev. Paul Myers officiating. Visitation is Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Seneca Memory Gardens in Tiffin, Ohio.
